Friday March 19 2021
The storm is pulling away. It did bring the expected thunder yesterday to Annapolis and southern Maryland. But the rain total at BWI was 0.56”, underperforming. The expected snow this morning as well did not materialize.
What we will get are strong winds with cold air. Then the weekend sets up quiet, sunny, and mild just in time for the Spring Equinox ( 5:37 AM Saturday)
Morning Surface Weather
Strong winds will be with us this morning and reach the peak after sunrise.
Morning Temperatures
Many areas starting in the upper 30s to lower 40s. My suggestion is to weather long sleeves and a jacket today. That wind will cut through it when you are outside.
Wind Advisory:
Southern Maryland and The Beaches may get gusts up to 50 mph
Wind Forecast
Local Wind Gusts could reach 35 mph.
Afternoon Temperature Forecast
- Normal High in Baltimore: 55ºF
- Record High in Baltimore: 78ºF in 1918
Wind Chill
Weekend Snapshot
Dry and mild, some ares could reach close to 60ºF
Looking Ahead:
Dry weather starts off next week, but rain will return by Tuesday night.
