October 3 2020

After a brilliant display of the moon, Mars, the ISS fly over, and the successful rocket launch at Wallops Island last night, we have nice cool start to the weekend.

Here is the journal of Maryland Weather conditions observed in Baltimore yesterday, climate report today, sunrise/sunset, moon phase, and daily weather map.

Also: The first look weather forecast, and NEW GFS Interactive simulation slider.   *Also see the new Maryland Weather local pages below.

Morning Set Up

High Pressure is in control today and through the weekend. There have been some high clouds mixed in west of the Bay, that may have blurred the bright moon overnight, but sun will dominate the day.  Cool and dry conditions will last for two days.

Tropical Storm Gamma (bottom) has 50 mph and will cross the Yucatan Peninsula today. This is expected to reemerge in the Bay of Campeche and curve south back on Mexico.

There will not be a Nor’easter. The primary Low will be well off of the coast on Monday, but some rain showers with a disturbance following it early that morning. Then we bring on a few more dry days.
