Areas of fog have formed this morning. If you don’t encounter it, you should at least have clouds dominate the sky across our region. This is still on the northern edge of what is left of ‘Beta’. The big question is about the rain.
It might sound like a contradiction to the fog and cloud mention, but High Pressure in control is actually keeping us dry. So the battle will be on to see how far north that rain can reach, and it will try to get into central Maryland by evening… In the form of ‘spotty showers’. If you have outdoor plans, do not expect a washout.

Yesterday I told you about our local Doppler Radar in Sterling VA that was broken. Here is a composite of regional radars that fill in most of the holes.
Rain has reached into southern Virginia, and is trying to shift farther north.

The HRRR is most aggressive with ‘Light Rain’ or Spotty Showers reaching central Maryland.
