Two New Tropical Storms Named Today: Nana and Omar

This would almost be funny if it wasn’t sad and true. But then again, it is 2020.

So why not?

Today The National Hurricane Center makes two new tropical storms: NO Stands For:

Nana in the Caribbean and Omar off the US east coast.

Omar was expected to be named yesterday, and it would have been Nana. But it was slow to develop and as of this morning it wasn’t expected to grow beyond a Depression. It has other plans. This still appears to be a ‘fish storm’. That means it will remain offshore and no these to land. 

Nana is a quick development and be a a Central America issue.

It has a name, but it is not expected to last long.
