Thursday August 13 2020
A Flash Flood Watch has been issued AGAIN for our area today. It will be a little cooler, but very humid. Slow moving storms will develop any time today. Some have already starting in Virginia this morning. Similar to yesterday, between 1 to 3 inches of rain are possible.
This also includes the entire route of my Maryland Trek Day 5 between BWI/Linthincum, Annapolis and over the Chesapeake Bay to Grasonville.
Here is a quick look at the rainfall forecast today, plus a look at our Maryland Trek Day 5. This day includes meeting Lt. Governor Rutherford at the State House and putting my bike on a boat in Annapolis to cross over to Kent Island. Watching the storms will be critical. We will hike through Anne Arundel County in rain, but seek shelter if there is lightning.
Rainfall Potential
Not everyone will get in on the heavier rain. But where storms form and linger, there could be 1 to 3 inches falling in a short period of time.

This is guidance (not the promise) from the HRRR Km model. Note, there will be spotty showers and heavy storms at any time today. It may be more active than shown here.
The showers may linger for a few hours over the same spots. But some locations may be nearly dry.
Will range from the upper 70s to mid 80s, depending on where the rain sets up.
