Wednesday July 29 2020
The rain from the cold front only with southern Maryland yesterday, but the less humid air has already spread in behind it. Temps will be hot again today, but the humidity will be dropping, even in southern Maryland and the Eastern Shore later on. The Baltimore Orioles start their home season agains the Yankees (with no fans), but the players should enjoy the improved weather. In short, it should be dry and more tolerable.
There will be another chance for rain Friday morning and again in the evening, with some spotty storms over the weekend. But the next chance to eat into a growing drought could be from a developing tropical system reaching us next week. See more below.

Looking Ahead For Rain
- Friday: We may have a round of rain early in the morning, then afternoon/evening storms.
- Saturday: Isolated Showers
- Sunday: More Showers
Tropical Development
Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine- That is a way of saying this is likely to be the next tropical storm, without promising it. However, we could get a name today. If so, it will be called Isaias ees-ah-EE-ahs.

This HWRF Model shows the center of the storm north of Puerto Rico and through the Bahamas Friday into Saturday.
Forecast Track
This includes a Tropical Storm Warning for Puerto Rico, and a path to south Florida.
I would caution against confidence on the track in Florida this weekend. Too many things can change… but the turn should bring it up the eastern US next week.
Rain For Us?
This Rain Should turn the corner and could move up the Eastern US early next week. Time Frame would be next Tuesday and Wednesday
