The storms that crossed the region yesterday provided some relief from the heat, but added to the humidity. You should feel it today and another Heat Advisory has been issued for Heat Index values over 100ºF.
This time, a cold front will arrive mid afternoon and work on that moisture to develop strong and severe storms. We have a risk for them to produce winds over 60 mph, flash flooding, dangerous lightning, and even an isolated tornado.

This is the true measure of moisture in the air, and it’s uncomfortable to start the day in central Maryland and Delmarva.

There will be a sharp drop in temps as the storm line passes.

The agreement is for the line in the mountains to start moving east by 2 PM. It should cross metro areas between 3 PM and 8 PM.
