Two ways to way to change a stagnant weather pattern in summer: A cold front or a tropical system. It looks like a tropical storm will form and move up the coast. This is located east of Wilmington, NC this morning and has an 80% chance to develop by Friday. If it does so, the name will be Fay.
This tropical system will definitely impact the beaches with heavy rain, high winds, and rough surf. Computer modeling has continued to shift inland, now taking the center of the Low over Delmarva. That would bring rain farther west into central Maryland and southern Pennsylvania on Friday. See the full tropical forecast below.
Morning Satellite
The core circulation was located to the east of Wilmington, NC. The bulk of the rain was well to the east. This is expected to organize and blossom with more rain during the day. Daylight will help display this and I will show the loop in my next update.
Afternoon Forecast
Rain Reaches Ocean City By Evening
Developing Tropical Storm
Winds need to organize up to 40 mph for this to be named Tropical Storm Fay. This would organize the rain more, as well as the waves along the coast.

You can compare to the models below
The NAM 3 Km Model does show the center of the Low passing across Delmarva. Should this path stay inland it would limit the strength, but bring rain farther inland.
Friday Temperatures
The wind and rain will keep the temperatures down in the afternoon.
