July 5 Weather Hot and More Humid Again With Slight Chance Of Storms

Today is one of those days I can hear my brother say the weather is just wet you see or feel outside.  That is most of the story. It is going to be hot and more humid again. It is going to be that way most of the week ahead, with a chance for storms popping up. But later in the week there my be an organized storm trying to move up the coast.

This Morning

Dew Point is the true measure of moisture in the atmosphere. Getting close to and move 70ºF Dew Point makes the air less comfortable. That is the muggy feel many have this morning.

Weather Set Up

That persistent Low Pressure off of the coast of Maine is still sitting There. It has lost its influence on our air, but may play a roll if storms form. If we can get some thunderstorms popping today, the winds aloft thanks to this system will move to the south and southeast as shown in the simulation below.
