A cluster of storms moved through central Maryland overnight, and is crossing Delmarva this morning. This was projected on the model I showed yesterday, which gives more confidence in the next round expected this afternoon and evening.
A large, stalled low off the coast of Maine is still responsible for sending the air flow and storm tracks from the north. This will redevelop more storms today that may generate in eastern PA and drop into eastern Maryland and Delaware. A few other cells may pop up and tracking them around that Low may be interesting.
Then we set up a heat wave through the July 4 weekend and into next week, more so than the long range model is suggesting. Summer is about to show off.
