When you step outside this morning you will notice the humidity and perhaps already some heat. This is far from the most oppressive weather our area can experience, but it is enough to remind you we are in the thick of summer. It is also going to be enough to spark yet another round of storms popping up at any time.
Severe Storm Risk Today
The bulk of the energy will pass to our north in New England and south in the Carolinas, but there will still be a marginal risk (20%) for any storm to turn severe this afternoon. Isolated storms could produce damaging winds, large hail, and any one could have dangerous lightning.
We’ve done this drill just about every day for over a week. The good news is that there will be some improvement tomorrow when this front arrives. Temps will stay warm, but the air will be more comfortable.
Morning Dew Points
- 60s = A Little Sticky
- 70s = Muggy and less comfortable

Caution: This model is NOT perfect! It is a guide for potential storm development, but the cells may pop up in other locations. Use this for general timing and movement. I will update on social media when storms generate.

Maryland Strong Love ❤️
My ‘bonus’ daughter made this map of Maryland a few years ago. We brought it back for needed positivity. Now on her pick of tanks, and this cool Maryland T for men or women.
