June 26 Weather Some Showers Today The Hot With Severe Storm Risk Saturday

Today we will feel a drop in the humidity, but the atmosphere just wants to keep trying. There is a small chance for a few afternoon showers, however most of us will miss out. Saturday will turn hot! Like mid 90s HOT for many. This will help fuel more storms.

The Severe Storm Risk is ‘slight’ across southern PA. As we have seen all week, storms have been more widespread than any model has suggested, so we should keep our guard in in central Maryland as well.

Morning Satellite

There is a band of high clouds this morning, but that will give way to more sun. This is ushering in less humid air, and slightly cooler. I pointed out the fog in the river valleys of western NY and northern PA.

Satellite Loop

This is the Infrared satellite with enhanced coloring for the highest cloud tops.

That cluster in the Upper Midwest will bring severe storms to Chicago today. That will shift east to PA on Saturday.

This is the true measure of moisture in the air. The mid 50s is a signal of more comfortable air.
