My wife went on her walk last evening and captured this photo of the colorful sky at sunset. She said it was more vivid in person! I did some exploring and that dusty air from the Saharan Air Layer appears to have reached us already. Looking at the real color visible GOES Satellite image from yesterday, I annotated the dust across the Caribbean and how it moved into the Gulf of Mexico and along upper level winds into the Mid Atlantic. This was expected to enhance the sunrise and sunset colors.
Weather This Morning
The infrared satellite loop is colored to show the higher cloud tops. It shows the flow of air brining in this string of clouds, which will also be responsible for a flew lines of storms later today. The better chance will be across southern Maryland, but some scattered showers will be possible in the hills and mountains west of Baltimore and across central Maryland after 3 PM.
Friday: Less humid, but warmer.
Saturday: Increased risk of strong and severe storms north of Baltimore.
Sunday: Showers and storms more likely across Central Maryland to the Beaches.

Maryland Strong Love ❤️
My ‘bonus’ daughter made this map of Maryland a few years ago. We brought it back for needed positivity. Now on her pick of tanks, and this cool Maryland T for men or women.
