Sunday June 7
We finally pushed the heat and humidity out of our region. The air will have a crisp feel as we can see the clearing on the satellite this morning. While we get a break for a few days with warm days and cool nights, Tropical Storm Cristobal is going to hit the Louisiana coast. This is a moderate strength storm, but the track will have a large impact on the vulnerability of the low lying coastline and city of New Orleans.

The concern with this storm is the counter clockwise wind flow. This will pile water into New Orleans from the east. That is what can enhance the storm surge potential, meaning a greater chance of flooding on top of the heavy rainfall expected.

- 💦 Rainfall: 4 to 8, with isolated spots up to 12 inches
- 🌊 Storm Surge: 3 to 5 Feet
- 🌪 Isolated tornadoes

Tropical Storm Cristobal will head nearly due north to Minnesota. This will NOT have an impact on our region. But we will get our next cold front with showers and storms Wednesday evening into Thursday.
