Monday June 1
A new season has just begun, for meteorological records. We block off full months for seasons, and June 1 is the beginning of summer. Astronomical summer begins on June 20. It is also the official beginning of tropical season, and we may have our third named storm this week near Mexico.
Locally the morning started cool and crisp in the 40s. Temps will warm up this week, bring with it showers and storms. So it may not feel like it now, but it will feel like summer this week. Before that happens, tonight should be clear for the second and best showing of the ISS flyover.

Tropical Weather
Once in a while a tropical system can make landfall from the Pacific Ocean, cross Central America, then reorganize in the Atlantic Basin. That is what may happen this week with what was once Tropical Storm Amanda.
There is a 70% chance this reforms in the Bay of Campeche in Mexico. If so, it would be named Cristobal.

Tuesday Weather
An upper level disturbance will ride the upper level winds from the northwest. This will bring in the chance for shower. We will watch a band of rain reaching the mountains in the morning and slowly pivot east during the day.
A better chance for rain will arrive in the afternoon and evening. This will keep temperatures down.

This disturbance may linger into the start of Wednesday, then shift south during the day. This will allow warmer air to return in a hurry.
