Another Frost Advisory has been issued for inland areas for Wednesday morning. This should be the final one of the season, so run that same drill of protecting your outdoor plants and bring your potted ones indoors.
I know this is getting old! If I am over the chill, then it must be saying something. I was optimistic that we already past the core of the cold air, as some clouds kept this morning’s temperatures milder than forecast. But High Pressure and light winds should allow the daytime clouds to fade, bringing on a clear night and rapid cooling.
Frost Advisory Wednesday
This is for places where temperatures will drop into the 30s before sunrise. Often the colder spots are west and north of the cities and warmer waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
How Cold Will It Get?
Here is a comparison of three computer models. The agreement is that locally we should not see freezing. The only marginal contrast is where the frost line may be based on dropping into the 30s. Note that frost can form on grass and plants when the air temperature (measured at 5 Ft above the ground) is 39ºF or cooler.
