Thursday April 23 2020
A large and very active storm complex is crossing the southern US. This was responsible for 26 tornado reports yesterday. A video below shows a very close up intercept in Oklahoma.
A new tornado outbreak is expected today. This system will spread rain our way this afternoon, which should begin between noon and 4 PM. Heavy rain locally tonight, then rain continues on Friday. We may end up with a dry Saturday, but more rain at night through Sunday.
Tornado Report Yesterday
Over 160 total storm reports on Wednesday. Here is where the tornados hit. The death toll is still being counted, and sadly there will be more today. The benefit of the quarantine is that more people are at home and listening for alerts to seek a safe space with more lead time.

Severe Storm Outlook Today
The most active weather will shift to the eastern Gulf Coast/Southeast US. Our region will be well north, but the moisture will flow our way. Some heavy rain and possible thunderstorms could arrive tonight into Friday.
