April 17 2020

A hard freeze hit much of our region this morning. Meanwhile a snowstorm is raging in the Midwest states, and we are in the second half of April. This is the winter pattern we missed all winter.

Here is data many students need for their weather projects to document and journal conditions yesterday, climate report today, and daily weather map.

Yesterday’s Weather Data

Thursday April 16

High = 53ºF at 4:08 PM

Low = 33ºF at 11:16 PM

Rainfall: 0.00 inches

Winds were from the Northwest

  • Top Speed (1 minute average) = 24 mph

Please note that humidity and dew point often change each hour like the temperature. These are not recorded as high or low, and can be arbitrary depending on the time you check.

Morning Temperatures

The hard freeze to start the day, but we will not get the storm until later. By then we will warm enough to the mid 40s and lower 50s. That will lead us to just have rain tonight.
