Morning Surface Weather
This wave of heavy rain may be the bulk of it for much of Maryland today. The next line of rain should pivot to northern Maryland and southern PA. But the attention will be in the Midwest where a severe storm outbreak is likely later today.
This large storm complex is producing Blizzard Conditions near Denver Colorado this morning where up to 6 inches of snow is possible.
Severe Storm Outlook
A Moderate Risk of Severe Storms in Illinois today. This region will see supercell storm complex with large hail (over golf ball size) and long track tornadoes.
The slight risk extends to the Ohio Valley due to the later timing of storm lines at night. But on our side of the mountains only some non-severe thunderstorms expected, like we have seen this morning.
