Saturday March 14 2020
Good morning, it’s Pi Day. Under normal circumstances we would celebrate Albert Einstein’s birthday with fun 3.14… math, pizza, or desert bearing that name. But as we limit socializing thanks to COVD19 and the State of Emergency, I can not encourage that unless you make it at home with your family.
With my weather reports, I want to remind you that it is OK to be outside when the weather is nice. It’s important to cut down on cabin fever or isolation. My kids will be able to play with other kids in the neighborhood.
But I want to add some caution to playgroups and especially playgrounds. If there is an activity with multiple families touching the same objects like toys or playground equipment, that is one way the virus can spread.
Remember that any of us can be carries for up to a week or longer without any symptoms. It’s possible you don’t get bad symptoms, but someone else will.
That is all from my science, broadcasting, and parenting background. Now, just the weather:
This Morning
A system in the central plains will head our way and increase the clouds today. Snow will arrive in the mountains before sunset. Rain will reach most of our region in metro areas this evening. Some snow may mix in over the western and northern suburbs early Sunday. But no stickage is expected.
Next week there is one chance of showers early, then a wet pattern for the second part of the week. Plan your social distancing activities accordingly.
