We are in a spring pattern now. That may be obvious, but important when reviewing computer model guidance when active weather is moving through our region.
This afternoon that active weather includes showers and some possible thunderstorms. The short range high resolution modeling is what gives us our look at simulations/future radars. The change of seasons and conditions from snow to storms can behave differently. So after looking at the current weather, compare the HRRR and NAM 3 Km Models to track how they see the showers progress this evening. This may help prove one more reliable than the other as we enter Spring.

Doppler Radar at 3 PM
The bands of rain are moving to the east (left to right on the map). As some heavier showers develop, the higher clouds will the carry individual cells to the northeast (up and right).
Radar Simulations
HRRR Model —> slider
This is more active of the two here. It is updated every hour and does appear to match the set up better.
NAM 3Km Model —> slider
This model behaved better in the winter, but appears to be missing the initialization today. The rain impact fades away faster, and I suspect may be less accurate.
