Monday December 23 2019
A large storm is just to our south and will stay there. There has been flooding in flooding in Florida and more is possible through the Carolinas. But we will remain under High Pressure and quiet through the week.
The temperatures are cold this morning, but will end up mild this afternoon. Most of this week will continue to be mild in the afternoons, but it is important to note that the Bay water temps have chilled down to 40ºF. This is now three degrees colder than last year on this date! An important element to watch when we will eventually get back to winter storms in January.

We remain in a quiet and mild pattern through New Years Day. The change in January will begin to break down the ridge and establish the tough for the eastern US again. This is when we should start to see colder and more stormy weather. It may take a few impulses to lock it in, but mid to late January is when our prime time for winter storm should be.
