December 5th 2019
Cold winds may be the top story today, but some flurries are trying to cross the mountains this morning. This is Faith in the Flakes Day, since almost every year last decade brought our region the first snow of the season on December 5th.
To celebrate, I posted a live snow cams below from Deep Creek Lake looking at Wisp. Garrett County, MD is still under a Winter Weather Advisory. We also have new FITF items on the Weather Wife Collection. The yoga pants and hoodie were picked by Shannon and you might love them like I love her.

Local Weather Forecast
Friday
Temperatures start to move back up and some rain showers south of Baltimore in the afternoon.
Looking Ahead
The next chance of rain will be Sunday night through Tuesday.
We will be on the warmer side of the next storm, but the pattern will be turning colder mid month.
Jet Stream
- Blue = Cold; Orange = Warm
- A cold push in the middle of the nation will build next week. But the pattern will support the hold on the cold for the east coast December 18. We will have a chance at snow before Christmas.
