Tuesday November 5 2019

There will be a significant adjustment needed with the upcoming weather pattern. We just changed the clocks back, and the weather is about to follow making it feel more like winter. Today will be our last mild day for a long time. A series of cold fronts will produce bands of showers, then a surge of chilly air.  As for the snow, the mountains of western Maryland get it first, but we could see some flakes flying by next Monday.

See the headlines, forecast, Winter Outlook Part 1, and new FITF gear below.

NEW FITF GEAR THIS YEAR

  • Thanks to Shannon (weather wife) who wanted to bring these hats to life.  *Mustard is her favorite color
  • The Maryland Hoodie is high quality and a new way to show off our love of Snow and State.
  • The T-shirt… Something you may find familiar. Why just a T? Because many schools I visit have the heat on high for faculty and staff. But you can put a long sleeve underneath for cool look.  I will have wifey model these soon 🙂

Tuesday Afternoon Weather

Mostly Cloudy for all, but light rain develops along the beach and parts of Delmarva. Another band of showers will approach the mountains of western Maryland. Most metro areas will remain dry.

Looking Ahead

Rain will develop in Thursday evening into Friday morning. This will change to snow in western Maryland and the first winter event in most of New England. Locally the rain ends Friday morning. After a cold weekend, Monday will bring rain showers that may end with flurries or brief snow. *It is a bit early for stickage. We need a cold ground or heavy event to support that to be a road issue.
