Thursday September 26 2019

It will be another very warm late September day, but the big story is the small chance for showers. Before we get excited, a weak cold front will pass through this afternoon with some spotty rain, but just enough to wet the ground. The simulation below shows that the band of showers will break up over central Maryland, dropping the chance of rain to 20% there. So drought conditions are likely to continue growing.

After a brief cool down Friday, then weekend and next week will warm back up again.  There is another chance of showers Saturday afternoon and evening, but with the heat it will seem like summer like scattered storms. Any change to our pattern is 10 to 14 days away.
