Monday July 15 2019

This morning Barry is no longer a tropical system, but the remains continue to send tropical rain across parts of the southern US. Some of this moisture will blend into storms we will get in a few days. It will also shift the upper level winds and allow high heat and humidity to bring dangerous heat index values later this week.

Outlook

More heat is on the way. Long range modeling has had problems this summer running too hot beyond day 5, so we must consider this may be too hot. However, we should crank up the temps and humidity by next weekend and could have heat index values near 110ºF
