Not a complete break from the heat, but it will be less intense today. Temps will reach the mid to upper 80s with the heat index in the 90s. A cold front will be dropping down from the north and the push of winds form the northeast will be responsible for the storms today. While much of our region remains under the risk of storms, they will be less intense than what we had yesterday… and it should mark a break as we enter the work week.
