Friday June 28 2019
A few differences today in our weather. It may feel a little more sticky this morning and will remain a bit more humid this afternoon. But there will also be a few more showers and thunderstorms building off of the heat. This will be triggered by a weak boundary in the region. Like yesterday, some can reach severe limits. While most areas will remain dry, if you get in the path you could see brief downpours, dangerous lightning, and damming winds. See the simulation below.
Weekend Outlook: Saturday will also be hot, but more storms in the evening could help drop some heat for Sunday. The front is forecast to move through, but in late June sometimes they get stuck. So depending on the progress will determine if we improve or remain with the sticky weather to end the weekend. The high heat will return for July 4th.
Air Quality
The pollution levels remain high and the Air Quality Alert Code Orange is in place again this afternoon.
