Wednesday May 1 2019

The calendar has turned to a new month, but the weather may go backwards for some today. This is the tome of year when sometimes a distinct front can separate very chilly air from summer heat. This split can be right across our region, and a shift of 50 miles can make all the difference. It can also spark showers for some while it remains dry for many others. That is essentially our weather for the rest of this week, with increasing rain again into the weekend.

Morning  Weather

We start on the cool side this morning. Northeastern Maryland and PA may remain in the 50s with drizzle, while 70s and 80s to the west and south could spark some strong thunderstorms.

Severe Storm Risk

Today’s outbreak will be in Texas and Oklahoma, but we will be on the edge of the marginal risk. We will watch late afternoon or evening storms in the mountains try to approach the cities by sunset. See more below.
