Wednesday April 24 2019
It’s hard to imagine on this beautiful afternoon, but we have two days of rain ahead of us. I have had a lot of questions about the timing that might affect field trips and after school sports. Considering the strongest line of storms is likely on Friday, it may affect your plans to kick off the weekend.
Here is a look at the most likely potential for rain. It looks like Thursday will bring showers, which means off and on, but could last that way for hours. Friday may be more turbulent with a strong line of afternoon thunderstorms. At this time, the risk for them turning severe is low, but any storm with lightning needs to be taken seriously with outdoor plans. But at least it should be gone by Saturday for a really nice day to be outside.
Rain Timelines

This may look like a washout, but it will not be heavy steady rain. This appears to be more like off and on showers.

WE will continue with showers during the day Friday. But stronger storms will develop in the afternoon. The main line appears to want to cross central Maryland between 4 PM and 8 PM.
The Eastern Shore will more likely see them in the evening.
