January 3 2019

A large plume of moisture across the southern US has reached into southern Maryland. But it ids a dry start around the big cities. Temperatures are mild for the morning, but a gusty wind will hold them in the 40s today.  Next up will be yet another rain event to start a weekend. Rain will arrive Friday evening and stay with us most of Saturday. This will be  followed by mild weather for the Ravens home playoff game on Sunday.

Where is the cold air you ask? Not here! It still looks like we will have to wait for the second half of January for real winter to return. The clock is ticking, but I do not want to show long range models as they have proven to be unreliable. For now, mark the calendar around the 15th for the adjustment.
