Sunday October 14 2018
Rain is moving in today for us as the overall weather map looks a bit like winter. Quite the contrast from a major hurricane just a few days ago, now widespread snow exiting the Northern Rockies into the plains states. The quick moving jet stream has thrown a wrench in our weather. Despite High Pressure directly overheard, clouds raced in overnight. This did prevent our temperatures from dropping too much and frost where I suggested it might happen. The trade off is that we may have a bad of showers to deal with today. A large band of rain will cross the mountains and bring in a few hours of showers this morning until early afternoon.
More rain on the way Monday and possibly a larger storm next week. Overall, our outlook for a colder trend continues. Here’s a look.

More rain on the way Monday. The next system will arrive next weekend and appears to be a larger storm. This is subject to some adjustment, but we may need to make some plan Bs for next weekend… including possibly a quick trip to chase some snow in Garrett County.
Temperature Outlook
There will be a brief warm up with the next batch of rain, but then the overall outlook looks chilly. It is time to lock in with Fall clothing.
