The hint of late summer is still in the air and some of that humidity has led to fog this morning. The sun will help burn that off and temperatures will soar into the mid and upper 80s this afternoon ahead of a cold front. There will be a line of thunderstorms developing with the front, and a few clusters of storms ahead of that. It will be one cluster that is expected to cross central Maryland this evening.
We will have two cooler days, Friday and Saturday. These will be close to average, then back into the warm spell next week. The overall trend is dry into the weekend. Here’s a quick look..

This ECMWF Model is a little warmer for Friday and Saturday. The difference will be mid 60s to near 70ºF.
The trend will be back to a warm trend for the next 1 to 2 weeks.
