Storms are possible today in Maryland that could turn severe. The remains Florence will act like a cold front with a line of storms developing mid day and moving across the Bay then Eastern Shore this afternoon and into the evening. More on the timeline below. But severe storms erupted Monday as a result of the former Hurricane Florence. Starting in Virginia around 4 PM, a large tornado ripped through Richmond. Roofs were torn off and a building collapse led to one fatality. In Maryland: Fair Hill, the roof of equestrian camping barn was taken off. Horses were in a couple stalls but not injured according to Jo Ann Bashore. Locals suspect the damage was from a tornado and NWS should be surveying the areas to confirm today.
