We have a bit of a heat wave this week and today marks the first Heat Advisory in what may be a few days in a row. While temperatures will reach the lower to middle 90s, the Heat Index will feel like 100ºF to 105ºF. That makes is dangerous for extended activity, so limit your time outside. Kids already in practice or school sports should be taking frequent water breaks.
This will last for a few days, then a break in the temps, but not the humidity as a front will stall over our area into Labor Day Weekend. The focus will be on afternoon storms, but a change of pace for the holiday. More details below:
