Finally a break from the rain, for most of us. The pattern has pushed east, but not east enough. So while most of the inland areas get to enjoy a dry day on the weekend, those at the Maryland and Delaware beaches should be in for rain. They did miss out on most of the flooding this week, so now may be payback time and it won’t make many happy. Below is a look at the radar loop that has most of the rain south in Virginia Beach and pushing out to the Atlantic. But the radar simulation shows showers and thunderstorms developing as soon as noon closer to Salisbury, Chincoteague, and Ocean City.
There may be more showers in the same locations on Sunday, then we get into another week of showers and storms. That should be more like the typical afternoon storms instead of all day events. The good news is that it should not be as potent and may finally end next weekend (as Maryland Trek 5 begins)
