May 22 2018
We have a marginal risk of severe storms. This means there will be widespread showers and some thunderstorms with a select few that could reach severe limits. Overall there will be a chance for dangerous lighting with any storm and some could have high winds and some hail. The timing will depend on your location. This morning until early afternoon north of Baltimore, then central Maryland and shifting south to southern Maryland this evening. Below is the simulation. Most of the week ahead to follow will be nice. But a semi tropical feature will again develop near Florida and head north similar to last week. This will begin to influence us with showers over the holiday weekend and become more widespread Sunday into Memorial Day Monday.

I believe this HRRR Model is overdone with intensity this morning. I am showing this for the location of rain bands. Especially for the mid day and early afternoon timing on the north then, then spreading across central Maryland to southern Maryland/Lower Eastern Shore this evening
