Friday July 14
Today is the day we break the heat, but we still have it along with a very humid feel to the air. A cluster of thunderstorms moved through between York, Bel Air, and North East this morning. The loud boomers may have woken up a lot of people and will add to the stickiness of the air. We will likely have to wait until mid afternoon for the next round of storms to develop.
While we have had a risk of scattered rain all week, the pattern is different today. A strong cold front will be the trigger, so storms will be more widespread and have an added boost to them. Gusty winds will be the most likely factor. Heavy downpours and frequent lighting will also be a threat. Large hail may show up with a few of these cells as well. When will they arrive? This radar simulation is just a gauge, but it does suggest that plans to the Orioles game might have some rain to deal with, but the game should be able to get in, even if there are delays.

Weekend Outlook
The cold front should push south of our region on Saturday, bringing in less humid air. Temps should still reach highs in the mid to upper 80s, but will be more comfortable.
