Friday June 23

The remnants of former Tropical Storm Cindy are near Memphis this morning. There is a small circulation interacting with a much larger cold front. The rain we have this morning is not directly from the storm but a hint of how it wil impact us. A brief period of rain that will race out of here.

The rain this morning will last a few hours, but will stop by lunchtime, and may be followed by more showers later this afternoon. The core of former Cindy will arrive early Saturday morning… and race out of here within a few hours. We could see a band of heavy rain, but for most it will be gone by breakfast and leave us with a nice day… then we focus on cooling next week. Here’s a look:

Saturday Morning: Cindy Departs Quickly

Heaviest rain between 3 AM and 6 AM. Slight chance for severe parameters with this band… Heavy rain and gusty winds the biggest threat.
