Many 25 2017 – 4:30 PM

We have an area of Low Pressure in Virginia that will be crossing overhead this evening and tonight. Acting on the moisture in place and the heat of the day, strong thunderstorms have developed and some might turn severe. A severe storm would consist of winds over 58 mph, large hail 1 inch in diameter, and locally heavy downpours. But there is plenty of lighting with these storms, which is always a dangerous element regardless of any warning in place.

The radar simulation below shows the circulation passing through central Maryland, and the could enhance some of these storms this evening through midnight. This is not exact, but will give you a rough for the timing and general location of what is expected. Please be careful and watch the sky if you will be outside this evening. I will be doing the same with my fellow coaches on the baseball field.
