Tuesday May 23 – Many are waking up with fog or low clouds. That will continue this morning as a band of rain will continue to spread north. Among the many outdoor activities, the Blue Angels are expected to practice in Annapolis ahead of the US Naval Academy show for graduation this Friday. But developing drizzle and steady rain will be moving in and could impend the viewing, if not delay the display. Wednesday should be the best day for their practice and our viewing. If so, I may be broadcasting the air show Live on my Facebook page tomorrow. The Johns Hopkins Senior Picnic should be moved inside due to the wet weather as rain will continue to spread into the afternoon and evening.

Steady rain will move through tonight, but Wednesday should be our break, before another round of rain and perhaps strong thunderstorms on Thursday. The good news will be the gradual warming trend as we dry out for part of Memorial Day weekend. At this time, afternoon showers seem scattered Saturday, but a greater chance Sunday afternoon and then into Monday. Here’s a look.

A secondary Low Pressure will form over central Maryland. This will enhance the southeasterly wind and increase our threat of strong thunderstorms.
