Saturday May 13 – Tracking the rain today will be a challenge. The radar may be deceiving as the steady rain moves away but showers and drizzle linger behind it. Many places that look dry, but are not. We had light rain and drizzle at my son’s baseball game last evening and my trusty radar view didn’t show it.  My other son’s game this morning was pushed to the afternoon and we may have the same problem. I mention this for your events as well… Just plan on being chilly and damp if you will be outside. If you end up with a dry period, consider that a bonus.

Here is the Radar Simulation for the rest of today. It does suggest showers on the backside of the departing storm… Moving across the area through this evening.  We may not be completely done on Mother’s Day, but most of Sunday will be dry.  Just scattered showers, wth temps back near 70ºF. Next week… hang on as we soar to 90ºF in a hurry.

High Temps Remain Chilly

Sunday Showers?

There may be a few in the morning and again in the afternoon after 3 PM

About That Heat…

Here is a comparison of the Jet Stream showing the height anomalies. This shows the rapid replacement of the chilly trough with a heat ridge of summer proportions… as soon as Wednesday
