Friday March 24 – There is a pattern change on our doorstep and it will get rid of this late season chill. We are in a moderate drought and we have rain moving in. This first system has some icing to the north in central Pennsylvania, but warming and rain will be the issue for most of our issue… Well, the chance of rain. This system is seen on simulated radar falling apart as it crosses the mountains with warmer, dryer air moving in behind it for our weekend. Then we set up a few storms that will bring in more ‘chances’ of rain into next week. The thing is, most of the rain is likely to hit the mountains while bands break up and weaken a little as they cross central Maryland. The high confidence of this outlook is the sustained warm temps.
