Morning Fog Remaining Mild Then More Rain

Wednesday January 18 – Thick fog remains in parts of our area as a reminder that the Chesapeake Bay governs much of our weather. This photo from Concord Point Lighthouse is all that looks good in it. Walter Dorsett waded in the water last evening for this photo and I had to share. On Maryland’s Eastern Shore- Kent, Queen Annes, and Talbot County Schools have fog delays.

The winds will shift helping to clear the fog out today, but it will remain mild. Temps will reach 50°F or better in most places… and stay in the 50s most of the next week. Thursday looks like the nicest day of the week with sunshine and somewhat warms temps. There will be a few rain chances including Friday’s Inauguration of the new president in Washington and again Sunday through Tuesday next week. Here is a quick look as the multiple systems. As I have been saying, the pattern will being to break down and turn colder by the end of next week. No promise it will snow that day, but we will flip back to a winter pattern to end the month and lead into February.
