Dense Fog Severe Storm Risk And Heavy Rain Timeline Today

Wednesday November 30 – A Dense Fog Advisory has been extended until 8 AM west of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, southern PA, and northern VA. But until 9 AM on the northern Delmarva where a few county schools are on delay. Visibility may be down below a quarter mile in spots slowing down the commute. This will be replaces by moderate to heavy steady rain arriving. So while the visibility might improve, the windshield wipers will be making up for lost time as we work to make a dent in the drought.

The surge of moisture today will be in a few waves. Early afternoon and again in the evening there could be thunder, lightning, and damaging winds as storms could approach severe limits. Temperatures will reach the upper 60s to near 70°F with a spring feel in the air. Here is the hourly breakdown radar simulation.
