Flash Flood Watch: Heavy Rain Arrives Today

Flash Flood Watch: Heavy Rain Arrives Today

screen-shot2016-09-28-05_47_00Wednesday September 28 – The returning moisture from our old front is already moving into central and southern Maryland this morning. Rain is likely to stay near and south of I-95 while fog has been more widespread. Our wind is from the Northeast and that will continue to help pile in the moisture.

Today, the rain will spread and expand from the mountains. That is when the really heavy stuff will move in tonight.  Our Flash Flood Watch extends through Friday, but into Saturday the latest modeling suggest as much as 6 inches of rainfall. The heaviest will be tonight and Thursday.  Check out the timelines below or a quick look at the timelines.
