Sunday July 24 – The Heat Advisory for today is confined to the northern Delmarva and southeast Virginia. That does not mean it will not be oppressive, just not as bad locally as yesterday was. Comparing the temperature in Baltimore at 8 AM: Saturday was already 83°F, but today the temp measured at the same time was 81°F. Being slower out of the gate is a reflection of the core of the heat splitting and waning from our region, but just a little and just for today. The surge will come back Monday. You may barely notice the difference, but at least it will not be worse.. yet.
The High Temperature on Saturday at BWI was 98°F, so given the slower start today, we should be a few ticks lower on the thermometer. Still way above normal, but no records…

Small chance of afternoon shower, mainly west in the mountains.
Monday
The threat of rain on Monday evening and night looks a little higher as a cold front will act on higher heat. So this will be worth watching for potential severe weather.
Temperature Outlook
Here is the GFS Model text output that might look like the screen from the Matrix. The temperatures have been highlighted and shows the peak reaching on Monday… but we stay in the 90s much of this next week
