Full Moon And Saturday Storm: Preakness Rain Timeline

Full Moon And Saturday Storm: Preakness Rain Timeline

May 20 2016 – Today may be the nicest weather day of the month so far. In fact it will close to a trifecta that I feel the need to warn teachers about. It is Friday, with sunshine in the 70s, and almost a full moon. That will surely make the kids a little extra wild at school. You have been warned. But the moon will officially be full on Saturday, and if you have followed this theory of mine, that could maximize the potential of the storm on the way.  Saturday will be a soaker, but it appears the heaviest rain will be in the morning to mid day. That impacts the St. Michaels Half Marathon starting at 7:15 AM, and the entire running festival. It will also make for a muddy track at Pimlico much of the day, but an improvement for the evening Preakness Stakes set for a 6:45 PM post time. Here’s a look at the maps.. and some showers could linger Sunday.
