Saturday May 14 – The sunny and mild start to our weekend is deceiving. A strong cold front will be crossing this afternoon with a growing line of thunderstorms. These will be quite strong with heavy downpours and possibly some damaging winds. Here is the radar simulation showing the progress of the line starting at noon. If you have plans in metro Baltimore, this should arrive shortly after 3 PM, and could linger for a few hours as the line then moves on to the Eastern Shore.

Warm Before The Storm
Snow Still On For Western Maryland
The cold air and Lake Effect snow band will develop overnight. This timing in the dark hours might actually allow for some stickage above 2,000 Ft. That puts Wisp, Canaan Valley, and Snowshoe in the running for a surprise at sunrise. I hope I get pics to share.
Temperature Outlook
The cool down on Sunday cold tie a record. Should Baltimore stay in the 50s, that would make for 7 days this month matching the mark set in 1882.
Monday morning might bring the 30s into the colder suburbs with potential frost inland from the Bay/City.
