March 31 2016- We are about to turn to page to April, but the weather pattern seems to be in retro mode. March will end more than 6.3°F above average and the law of averages is about to pay us back. A cold and active storm track will be focused just to our north, and the mention of snow means accumulation for northern Pennsylvania and central New York. Syracuse may be one of those lucky spots to revive winter scenes while cheering on their Orange (men and women) in NCAA Final Four. But some of the flakes may fly south into central Maryland, maybe even to the beaches over the next week. This may justify the late deliveries of Faith in the Flakes shirts to area schools. Carrie Rock, one transplant who got an orange flake shirt. I still have a few more when they return from break next week. FITF but don’t plan on much stickage.
There will be three chances during the first week of April, and to be honest this is not out of the ordinary. We frequently get snow showers in early Spring and this may be payback for those early March days in the 70s and 80s.
First Chance: Overnight Saturday/Sunday following the next system.

Second Chance: Opening Day (Night)
The next clipper seems to hold off until after the Orioles first game. But rain showers in the evening may end with a few flakes.
Third Chance: Early Friday Morning
This system will develop as it passes to our north into New England. This may bring some accumulation to our north, but we could have lingering flurries at daybreak.
Spring may be slow to take hold, but it will surely build in. We have Faith in the Flowers just like 16 year old Lexi Hack.
